I had a bad one a couple of years ago and I read somewhere to pluck the eyelashes out of the infected area. DON'T DO THIS! It hurt like mad, didn't seem to help anything and then left me with a big bald patch in my eyelashes.
Christina's suggestion is the best one.
Also, my Grandpa once told me a rhyme that said "Sty, sty, go off my eye, go on the one that just passed by." You say it when you walk past someone else and they're supposed to get the sty from you. I tried it a lot as a child, but my brother never seemed to catch the sties I passed to him!

A warm compress (clean face cloth) a few times a day for 10-15 minutes. It will help it to drain on its own. DON'T SQUEEZE IT; it will get infected!
I used to get them all the time...what a nuisance!
