Enjoying Life

I know I know...I am a terrible blogger. The sad thing is, I love reading new blog posts by other people but never update my own!
Things are good with us...we are loving being in the new house. I had a ton of fun decorating it for Christmas! It was nice to have room to spread things out and not feel so cramped!
The kids are good. Emily is dealing with a few challenges at school. She had to change schools when we moved and she does not really like the new school. It is tough to change in grade 10. Grade 9 I think would have been easier...clicks were being made and friendships started. now she is trying to break her way into these relationships. Hopefully it gets easier. She does have a few interested boys..but we are still sticking to the no dating until 16 rule!!
Noah is good...in grade 7 and doing pretty well. He is loving that his best friend lives down the street now.
Rob and I are doing well. I am still running my daycare....which I like a lot more in the new house!! Rob works for the federal gov't now. He likes it. I like that he is home for dinner every night now!! No more really long hours!
That is it for now...hopefully I will try to update more frequently!!!

Life is good!

We have been in our new house for 7 weeks now and I am loving it!!! It still feels really big compared to what we were living in but I am not complaining!!!! We love having the extra room! Running the daycare is so much better now that we have room to spread out a bit. I also like that I do not have toys in the main living space. So after they go home, I do not have to keep looking at toys!!
The kids love their new rooms. Noah had started unpacking his boxes while we were still unloading the truck!! He was very excited. Emily has even kept her room clean!! This is BIG!! She loves her new space...especially her window seat. She spends a lot of time there, reading, drawing or just dreaming!!
My favorite part of the whole house is the kitchen. I love cooking dinner and still being in the same room as everyone else!! I am still not a great cook...but at least I enjoy being in there now!!!

Emily is at camp right now. She is at Jackson's Point for 3 weeks. She was accepted into a program called Timothy 1. It is a mentor ship program geared for kids her age. They will learn all about working at camp...the various jobs up there as well as doing bible studies and prayer groups. It is a great opportunity for her!! I miss her tons but I know she is having fun. Right now she is on a 4 day canoeing trip...no showers or bathrooms for 4 days!!! I wonder how she dealt with that!?!

Noah is going to a swim camp next week. It is called Extreme H2O. They will be jumping off the tower of Terror, snorkeling, obstacle courses and an extreme field trip!! He is quite excited about it!! I am excited that he will be kept busy for a few days!!!

That's it for now!!

Been Awhile

Wow...it has been a long time since I last posted. Not even sure if anyone checks this out anymore!!!
Things are good with us. Very busy. We are trying to get our house ready to sell. We have a lot to do in the next few weeks. It is pretty stressful. Then we have to get it on the market and go through the selling process. That stresses me out too!!!
Our new house is coming a long really well. You can see from this picture that we have a roof with shingles. The house is wrapped and work is being done inside. We are just waiting for electrical to be done and then we will have our frame walk. I am excited. I love this house!!!!

We did have a bit of a hiccup...not with the house but with Emily's school. We were told when we bought that she would not have to switch schools so she started high school where she is now. When we started picking classes for grade 10 we found out that our new area has been rezoned and she has to switch schools. She was pretty upset at first. We went to an open house at the other school and discovered they have a wonderful drama program. Drama is pretty important to Emily so this helped with the change. She is dealing with it really well now!! Crisis averted!!!!

Anyway...will try and post more as we get closer to the move. I will post some pictures of our renovations as well.
