Both kids received their instruments last night at beginners band. They are very excited to start playing. Noah got a cornet and Emily got a horn. They were told to practice every day and with Rob being the leader of the group, our kids have to do it!! There are some interesting noises that come out at first!!
But we will suffer through because both Rob and I know how important music is for children.
Could be a long winter!!!

Isn't it nice that Noah plays cornet like Daddy and Emily plays horn like Mommy? I wonder how that happened!!!!
Joshua and Jonah both got cornets, so at least they're both Bb instruments. Pretty cute how excited they are, though. They got up at 7 this morning (I usually have to wake them up) and they wanted to practice the second they woke up!
I'm glad you guys are leading "In Step". It's a wonderful and innovative program and you are doing a terrific job.

Just think about me Melissa .......your Dad arrived home last night from the practise and as soon as he got in the door - was "blowing" trying to make "music" I guess.............oh my!!!! has my life changed!!!!!! I thought I was finished with all this when you and your brother were grown up....I guess not!!!!
Your Dad is having a lot of fun though learning............ You and Rob are doing a wonderful job!!
